Metric - Gimme Sympathy

It's only right that I kick things off with a video from the band that inspired my blog's name. After much hand-wringing, brain-racking and nerve-fraying contemplation I decided to just find a song title from a band I like as a blog title. For me Metric was an easy choice. Emily Haines and her band have been making some of my very favorite music for 10 years now. "Soft Rock Star" is a song off of their debut CD Grow Up And Blow Away. It was actually re-released in 2007. There is a fantastic remix of "Soft Rock Star" that even tops the original in my opinion. You should go buy it! Anyway, coming full circle, here is a song off of Metric's brand new CD, Fantasies (another CD you should also go buy!) Amazing song, cool video.
