I <3 30 Rock

Every Thursday there is a new episode of 30 Rock I am in heaven. And after seeing a new epidode and then seeing Tina Fey on a rerun of Jimmy Fallon's surprisingly entertaining new Late Night program last night I felt compelled to blog about my deep and abiding love for 30 Rock & it's ridiculously funny cast.

Hilarious, quick witted, self-deprecating and (I dare say) sexy, Tina Fey has a screwball sense of humor that doesn't have to pander to vagina and queef jokes like some other comics that come to mind. I loved her on SNL and 30 Rock is simply the funniest show on TV thanks to her writing and acting.

30 Rock would not be the same without Alec Baldwin. I've always loved him when he hosts SNL and when the news first came out about 30 Rock starting I knew it would be even better because of it. Whether he's being smooth and smarmy, or manic and unhinged, he brings such a likeability to his character. He definitely deserves the awards he's won for his acting on the show.

Tracy Morgan is batshit crazy and I absolutely love it. Even if he's just playing himself or what his public image is in pretty much anything he's in, it's damn funny. From SNL to his appearances on Conan, the man is unpredictable and hilarious. His character is in his own little world on the show and although I wouldn't want to live there, it's fun to get a peak inside.

When I first heard that they dumped Rachel Dratch for Jane Krakowski, I was sad. But Krakowski not only won me over but has become one of my favorites on the show. She's self-absorbed, vapid, attention-seeking & clueless yet you still love her. And her knack for breaking into song at the drop of a hat is pricelessly funny.

I hope this show stays on for years to come as long as it doesn't take a Scrubs-like tumble in quality.
