Person Of The Week: Portia De Rossi

I've seen several episodes of ABC's new (and probably soon-to-be cancelled) new sitcom Better Off Ted. What on earth is wrong with America? Two & A Half Men wins huge ratings every week and actually funny comedies like 30 Rock and Arrested Development have/had to beg for an audience. Well, one of the centerpieces of Better Off Ted is Arrested Developemnt-alum, Portia De Rossi. Her character Veronica is conscious-free, utterly souless and deliciously droll. De Rossi plays her perfectly. And despite what should be character flaws that would make you hate her if she was played by a lesser talent, you find yourself laughing so much that you can't help but love her.

The show itself is quirky and silly the way Scrubs was when it was in it's prime. The cast is excellent, the characters are fun and the writing is spot on. But it's De Rossi that makes the show great. I just hope more people realize there actually is another GOOD sitcom on before it's too late!

If it's not to late already, go check some episodes out online at ABC.com.
