musings on the day

1. Wow. I checked the Twins score today and it was 0-0 in the 6th. When I checked again it was 0-5 in the same inning. Once again Baker started out lights out and completely unraveled. I just assumed the Twins lost. Funny thing is, so did Verlander, Detroit's starter. He left the stadium early and got incorrect information at the hotel front desk that the Tigers had won. Turns out that was wrong. The Twins scored 6 runs in the 7th and won the game, sweeping Detroit in three games and moving into a tie for first place. Very refreshing news! Crede is really coming into his own recently and I hope it sparks the team to start playing more consistent ball.

2. Burnsville Mall is officially the most depressing mall I have been to. The honor used to go to Eden Prairie Mall before it was remodeled but man, this place was depressing. I never want to step place in it again.

3. Wanna feel old? Got to Plato's Closet. Twelve year old girls trying to look 18 everywhere you look.

4. Thank God for Julie and her vet plan for Toby. It's saved me almost $1600. It's kind of sad to think that had I not gotten all this for free, I'd be spending vastly more money to take care of my dog than myself, haha.

5. Seeing Metric on the cover of CMJ because they got to #1 on the Top 200 is awfully satisying, I gotta say.
