The Short North

The one thing Columbus has that I think Minneapolis lacks is a central place where shops, restaurants, nightlife, living, arts and entertainment all exist on one street. I think it used to be the way Uptown used to be but that has become so homogenized and populated by fratty types lately that it's lost a lot of it's charm. The neighborhood in Columbus is called The Short North and it's basically all along North High Street. There's just such vibrancy and energy there. I love the look and feel of it. It's full or unique eateries, cool shops, all the clubs and bars worth going to and I really love the lit crossbars over the street and the diversity of the crowds there. It's really Columbus's best selling point.
