The Like Quote Of The Like Day
Certainly the most ear-perking comment I heard today was made by Amanda On Bravo's Make Me A Supermodel. The models were asked to pose nude to showcase an accessory they had chosen before they knew they'd be sans clothes. Amanda has claimed all season that she is trying to become a supermodel for her son. I'm not sure she is aware but most supermodels are away from home a lot, hence she wouldn't be around to actually raise her son. Then again, after saying this, perhaps he'd be better off with her gone: "I'm really, really open with my son. Like, I don't want him to become, like, I mean, no offense, like gay when he's older. Like, I'm always naked in front of him now." Uh... wow. How very homophobic of you. Offense taken. Any woman who 1) thinks seeing his mother's boobs and vag on a regular basis will help prevent him from 'turning gay' and 2) doesn't realize how sick it is that a child would somehow be turned on by his own mother (again, for the purpose of making sure he's straight) doesn't seem like the best adult presence in a child's life.
So I'd like to say I was torn when Miss Homophobe was given her walking papers at the end of the episode, but that'd be a lie. I was just about as happy as I could be to see the bitch go. Sorry, kid. Mama's coming home... and she's got something to show you.
